The use of the facemask is mandatory in Puerto Padre

The Defense Council in Puerto Padre, at the proposal of health authorities, has ordered the mandatory use of the facemask in all public spaces, in an act of prevention due to the confirmation of new cases in the provincial capital.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- As part of the reinforcement of surveillance, the indication, which for its fulfillment contemplates the energetic action of inspectors and agents of the internal order, finds support in the majority of the inhabitants, who regret and feel the danger of not using a mask and not keep physical distancing in concentrations.

The huge queues are cursed, precisely, because people violate all the provisions that contribute to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus, in these times, any merchandise is demanded by that thirst to buy and resell - the same in stores in CUC, CUP, or FCC.

The epidemiological scenario is favorable, taking into account that since last May, when the events related to the seven positive cases closed, no new one has been confirmed, despite the danger lurks and before it, prevention is for the good of all.

What happened between March and July, and the new reality of COVID-19 in several provinces of Cuba after having controlled the epidemic is an argument to get ahead in this field and avoid contagion.

In addition, there is evident the relaxation in the washing and disinfection of the hands and in the foot bathing; therefore, the reaction of the Defense Council has more than enough reasons, in order to preserve the health of the population.

Responsiveness and commitment are essential in this fight for life, hence transporters, officials and workers are charged with ensuring and facilitating strict compliance with the guidelines.

Not only with the work of Public Health and the municipality's leadership this battle is won, popular participation is vital.

Once again, since leaving home it is mandatory to wear the facemask, let's see it together with the containment barriers as an urgent need in the modes of citizen action before a second season of the fearsome expansion of the COVID-19.
