Some 73,900 bottles of the homeopathic medicine PrevengHo-Vir benefit the residents of the four health areas of the main municipality, to increase the body's response capacity to the COVID-19.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Libya Lezcano Faura, head of the Natural and Traditional Medicine Program in Las Tunas, explained to local radio that this homeoprophylaxis campaign began in psycho-pedagogical medical centers, nursing homes, grandparents' homes and maternity homes.
In a second moment, it was administered to personnel exposed to risks within health institutions and children's homes without family protection. It was also applied to the inhabitants of the municipalities of Puerto Padre and Jesús Menéndez.
Lezcano explained that in each polyclinic in the municipality, strategies are adopted to deliver the product in the most agile way to families. Previously, she said, workers in the sector were trained to carry out this process.
PrevengHo-Vir, produced by the BioCubaFarma AICA Laboratories, prevents influenza, dengue and emerging viral infections, and its use is recommended in situations of epidemiological risk.
"It is one of the so-called complexes, because it is made up of several homeopathic remedies; each of them has already shown its effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases."
The specialist pointed out that to administer it, five sublingual drops must be taken for three consecutive days and the dose is repeated on the tenth day of the initial one. She also pointed out that they must be diluted in two ounces of drinking water at room temperature to avoid the risk of contamination and the spread of the disease, from direct contact with the knob.
Before diluting the product, she said, you have to move the bottle 10 times against the palm of your hand. Lezcano advises to complete the doses of the preventive scheme and not ingest them together with food or drinks, since the mouth must be clean and free of odors and any flavor.
