107 people from Las tunas are in isolation centers

One hundred and seven people remained until Friday in the isolation centers that operate in Las Tunas against Covid-19. Of these, 33 are in Los Cocos, 32 in Los Caciques (main municipality), 39 in Aguada de Vázquez (Puerto Padre) and three remain in the municipality of Colombia.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This was announced by authorities of the Health sector in the territory and explained that the Lenin headquarters of the University of Las Tunas works as a space for monitoring contacts of suspected cases and that now, from the 350 beds it has, have barely 16 occupied.

They also explained that 62 inhabitants of this province who arrived in the country from other nations are kept under surveillance in Cerro de Caisimú camping.
It was also revealed that 805 people who had arrived from Haiti, the United States, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Panamá and Guyana remain under surveillance through Primary Health Care.

The monitoring of this group is reduced as each of them reaches 14 days of stay here. That is why it is expected that in the next five days around 156 of these citizens will no longer be watched.

COVID-19 in Las Tunas

The health authorities highlight in each of the meetings with the press the importance of increasing the perception of the real risk that the disease involves for all the population.

The controls and the intense research that is undertaken here are of little use if they are not accompanied by the measures that each one must take, with discipline and rigor.
