The presence in the country of three international travelers and one Cuban infected with COVID-19 is a fact; hence the measures at border points and in the territories are reinforced to contain the spread of the disease on the Island.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- The arrival, in the last hours of a vessel to “Carúpano” Port, confirmed the effectiveness of the International Sanitary Control and the organizational capacity and discipline of the group, as well as the rest of the interacting entities.

Specialists in Hygiene and Epidemiology examined the crew, coming from the Caribbean area, and established the necessary talk, so boarding operations were safely initiated.

Dr. Jipsi Domínguez Fernández, head of International Health Control commented that the battle against the coronavirus is won with efficiency and opportunity to act, in addition to compliance with hygiene measures.
For his part, Mr. Jorge Mauteca Ramírez assured that in “Carúpano” they trained all the personnel, and have the means of protection.
