July 4th: Public Administration Workers' Day

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero congratulated the National Union of Public Administration Workers (SNTAP), which is committed to providing a better service to the people.

Havana, Cuba.- On Twitter, Marrero highlighted the sensitivity and humanism that should characterize the public servants associated with this sector.

July 4 was established as Public Administration Workers’ Day in honor of banking worker Enrique Hart, who was born on July 4, 1929.

Hart is considered a symbol of the revolutionary struggle against the despotic governments at that time and one of the most valuable young men of the insurgent 26th of July Movement.

The SNTAP is made up of 265,000 members, including state, private, and retired workers from 52 Cuban State Administration agencies. (PL)
