Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Lisbon on Thursday for his first State visit, which will be extended until Sunday, at the invitation of his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Lisbon.- The Cuban delegation is made up of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ana Teresita Fraga, among other officials.
On Twitter, Díaz-Canel stated that this visit had been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and would be an excellent opportunity to expand historic relations.
The president’s visit to Lisbon continues to strengthen relations between Cuba and Portugal on their 104th anniversary. (PL)
