Havana International Conference Center (HICC)

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero on Sunday congratulated all workers of the Havana International Conference Center (HICC) on its 44th anniversary.

Havana, Cuba.- On Twitter, Marrero urged HICC to continue developing its work with professionalism and devotion, while pointing out that the Center is presently under a maintenance and repair process to guarantee optimal development for the G77+China Summit to be held on September 15-16.

Among the construction works is the maintenance of the Plenary Hall, including updating technological systems such as wireless interpreting service equipment, data, and communications cabling, replacing furniture and audio systems in several rooms, new LED screens, repairing simultaneous interpreting booths, replacing pluvial pipes, false ceilings, and toilets, as well as remodeling bars.

HICC is the permanent venue for the ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba (ANPP) and has hosted most of the congresses of the Communist Party of Cuba, among other relevant national and international events. (PL)
