COVID-19 in Cuba

The National Director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Durán García said Cuba diagnosed 50 new cases of COVID-19 and reported one death over the last 24 hours. 

Havana, Cuba.- With this update, 116 people have died on the island due to the disease, and 5141 have tested positive to SARs-Cov-2 since the beginning of the epidemic on the island.

Addressing the daily media update on Monday, Durán said 48 patients were Cuban, 2 were foreigners who contracted the disease on the island and 40 were confirmed case contacts who had already been hospitalized at the moment of testing positive.

Havana contributed 31 patients, followed by Matanzas with 7 and Ciego de Ávila with 5.

50 people were discharged on Sunday, and 4462 patients have recovered. (RHC)
