The Teatro Tuyo troupe announces the Clownclave academic event, in its fourth edition, beginning today to the 25th, with the purpose of polishing techniques that contribute to the aesthetics defended by the company from Las Tunas.

Ernesto Parra comments that it takes place at the El Cucalambé professional art school, with a closing programmed to show the results of the different workshops by those who make up the cast of "Tuyos" and also constitute the faculty of the National School of Clown.

"As every year, we intend to gather students from acting academies, provinces such as Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Camagüey, Villa Clara, and Havana are invited. We will exchange with their teachers in workshops, conferences, and master classes."

"Acting academies have included Corporal Expression to Clown as a subject to be studied and trained, and we have been in charge of preparing that study plan. We take advantage of this moment to review, share, know how the experience has gone and provide them with better tools in their methodological work".

He said that the event is not only for academic participants but is also open to the public with the staging of part of Teatro Tuyo's repertoire every night at the Cultural Center in its headquarters.

The program includes the shows Parque de sueños, Clowncierto, and Juegos Olimpiclowns, starring the group's actors, the first graduates, and the current collective.

The Clownclave Academic Meeting allows socializing that methodological route that Teatro Tuyo has traced in 24 years of journey, in which today they train the students of the National School of Clown as future professionals.
