The Provincial Union of Food Industry Workers presented the most outstanding with special recognition

The Pelayo Cusidó base business unit (UEB), popularly known as the hamburger factory, was the headquarters of the activities for the Food Industry Worker's Day in Las Tunas, on Thursday.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The event honored those men and women who, due to their performance, were selected by their labor groups as the best workers during the past year. The Provincial Union of Food Industry Workers gave them special recognition for their outstanding work.

Likewise, the Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR) in the territory recognized the committee of innovators of the institution for their contributions and fulfillment of the tasks assigned to them by the organization.

Workers in the food sector work with the maxim that the successes achieved with their effort and work satisfy man more. In the “Pelayo Cusidó,” they know how to grow in the face of difficulties; for them, obstacles do not represent a reason to fail to fulfill their production commitments.

Alfredo Téllez Acosta, the director of the so-called hamburguer factory."Our center won the venue for the provincial ceremony because, during 2023, strategies were implemented to diversify productions and create new chains with other economy actors, which is the call that the country's leadership.”

"Among the palpable consequences of the blockade of the Island, we have had a large deficit of raw materials and this has led us to think differently and look for alternatives that have shown us positive results," said Alfredo Téllez Acosta, the director.

On January 25, 1971, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro called for strengthening the union movement and declared the day for workers in the sector.
