Medical supplies and equipment donated by Denmark-living Cubans

A donation of medical equipment and supplies, sent by Cubans living in Denmark, was delivered to health institutions in this eastern Cuban province.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The aid, collected by María de los Ángeles Alarcón Guerrero and her husband, with the support of the Denmark-Cuba Friendship Association, includes, among others, ultrasound and electrocardiogram equipment, electric weights, needles, gloves, venules, and cannulas; as well as other materials necessary for medical attention.

These resources will be distributed to the Mártires de Las Tunas pediatric hospital, the Ernesto Guevara de la Serna provincial hospital, and institutions in the municipality of Majibacoa.

Representatives of the aforementioned healthcare institutions and the Majibacoa government authorities told the press that they were delighted to have in their hands a donation that will alleviate the severe material conditions in which the local Health System is operating due to the U.S. economic blockade.

With a similar purpose, other material assistance has also arrived this year from Lombardy, as a result of the efforts of solidarity activists with Cuba from that region of northern Italy.
