These days, Nancy Flores González made her 83rd blood donation. She did it with a smile, like someone who does not carry the merit of saving lives since she was 20 years old.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- She was then an enthusiastic young woman, back in her native Holguín. He worked in the tobacco factory and had no qualms about missing the scares the first time.

A few days ago I saw her extend her arm, fearlessly, knowing every detail of the process that would follow. And I also noticed that, with her eyes, she seemed to anticipate the doctors. They already know her. They explain to her half-halfway because at any moment it is she who tells them about the risks, thanks to the capital value that experience gives.

“With each donation I feel tremendous happiness. I know that a little of blood can help those who need it and more in the midst of this terrible disease affecting worldwide. I learned from Fidel to give what I have, not what I have left over. I am proud to save lives."

She is currently the secretary of the extraterritorial bureau of the Tobacco Company in Las Tunas. He has two children; her blood is type B positive.
