Some 37,117 items were manufactured during the first semester

During the first semester of the current year, the LUDEMA Furniture basic business unit (UEB), an outstanding entity within the furnishing industry in the country, closed its sales at 121 percent, numbers that encourage it to set new goals for the rest of the year.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Of a plan of more than 60 million pesos, this collective achieved close to 73 million, according to the balance sheet for the first semester of 2023. In the case of physical units, out of an estimated 12,850, 37,117 were achieved, for a 287% over-fulfilment rate.

Profits also stand out, as they almost double the forecast for the period, a figure that has an impact on income through the different forms of payment to workers, exceeding 10,000 pesos per month in average wages.

For the first time, the sales destined to tourism do not stand out in the plans of monetary collection, reaching greater supremacy the products that are sold in the shop-furniture of the industry, located in the capital of the country, where 63 percent of the productions are sold, while the remaining ones are commercialized through the sales to the state organisms.

The entity, Vanguardia Nacional, holds the provincial prize for economic management, first place in the Soluciones Cuba provincial exhibition organized by the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers, as well as the collective status of the 70th anniversary of the Moncada, as part of the celebrations for the Day of National Rebellion.

Among the priorities proposed for the end of 2023 are to continue with the furnishing of the hotels that are being built in the country's capital and the fulfillment of social orders, such as the maternal and infant program, with the assembly of cradles for babies.
