Fridays are the day chosen by Young Communists League (UJC), to carry out work to support food production in the municipality of Puerto Padre, in coordination with the Delegation of Agriculture.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- A brigade of 30 boys and girls from different sectors, voluntarily travels to cooperatives or other production units where they are most needed to reinforce the agricultural work.

They have worked, among others, in Gayol, in the Alejo Tomás basic unit for cooperative production (UBPC); and the detachment of the educational sector and the members of the University Student Federation (FEU) stand out for the results.

Contributing to the island's food security and promoting production from the local level are maxims of the youth vanguard of Puerto Padre, immersed in tasks of economic and social impact at the call of the country's leadership.
