METUNAS is leader in Cuba in the manufacture of modular prefabricated and cold-formed metal structures.

The Comandante Francisco (Paco) Cabrera Metal Structures Company, from Las Tunas, predicts to repeat this year the fulfillment of the plan as it materialized in 2020 and also to venture into exports, for which it has guaranteed the raw material of the first quarter.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- According to Julio César Tamayo Rodríguez, director-general of the entity, at the end of the calendar that has just begun, it is estimated to comply with the sales plan, amounting to 260 million pesos, which will be paid through the services that they will be lent to different Cuban companies.

The tourism sector, Azcuba Sugar Group, Flora & Fauna, the Ministry of the Food Industry, the Cuban Oil Company, Transtur, Guantánamo’s Salt Company, and the Agriculture, interested in the acquisition of silos and the assembly of warehouses for poultry farming and pigs breeding are listed as the main customers of the factory.

METUNAS, as it is commercially known, will chain its productions with various entities in the province and with the Villa Clara Mechanical Plant, and will continue to work on the manufacture of ships for the Mariel Special Development Zone.

In an exchange between the main political and government authorities of the province and workers from the center, Tamayo Rodríguez said that the "Paco Cabrera" plans to venture into import substitution and to produce items for stores that sell in Freely Convertible Currency.

The factory, which belongs to the iron and steel industry and has a capacity for 10,800 tons of structures, has a highly professional staff - including 111 engineers -, 40 years of experience and is the leader in Cuba in the manufacture of modular prefabricated and cold-formed metal structures.
