2020 was the year with the best economic results in the history of LUDEMA Furniture, from Las Tunas, when it entered more than 23.7 million pesos, mainly by sending productions for the tourism sector.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This is the result of the high productivity of the group and of responding with quality to the demand made by tourist facilities in various provinces, including hotels of high standards, Olmedo Chin, director of the entity, explained.

During an exchange with the main political and government authorities of the province, the manager considered that, in addition to high professionalism, they have state-of-the-art technology and guaranteed quality raw materials.

"As we adopted all the measures to protect ourselves from the COVID-19, we had no interruptions since that disease was detected in Cuba last March," Chin said and added that the average salary of workers each month was 1,553 pesos.

“The commitment for the year was 14 million pesos, but work was added to respond to requests from 14 hotels, some of which will have their furniture completed in the current calendar.”

It is very important, the director said, that the entity has guaranteed almost all the raw material for the year, mainly for the first quarter, hence the staff is already working on five tourism projects, including the Primera and 70 Hotel, in the capital.

Grétel Valdivia Leyva, specialist in LUDEMA's Tourism Project Business, explained to the Cuban News Agency that the furnished hotels in 2020 include Primera and D and Gran Hotel, in Havana; Roca Este, in Cayo Coco (Ciego de Ávila); Quebrada 21, in Cayo Cruz (Camagüey); and Baracutey 59, in Holguín.

Valdivia Leyva said that the project is underway to furniture the "Metrópolis," and the one that rises at K and 23, in the heart of Vedado, is planned, which is expected to be the tallest building in the country.

Parallel to the commitments to Tourism, LUDEMA will venture into useful productions for homes that will be on sale to the population.
