Both, drivers and pedestrians are responsible for road safety

In the province of Las Tunas, 55 traffic accidents have been reported so far this year; one more than in the same stage of the previous year. As a consequence, 50 people have been injured.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This was stated to local television by First Lieutenant Yordanis Suárez Oramas, a Traffic officer in the province, who called for citizen discipline because, without it, control will not be enough to reverse this flagellum.

The expert indicated that the surveillance of the patrols is intensifying these days and the work is especially focused on the many young drivers who walk on the road, with little experience.

He announced that they are ready with a view to the 2021 summer stage. And, although the Cuban reality speaks more about staying at home than going to the beaches or visiting family, Traffic authorities insist on the control so as not to regret accidents.

He recalled that we are all road users, both drivers and pedestrians. Therefore, we are responsible for taking care of our lives and those of others in the face of accidents.
