Mother’s Day printed postcards return this year, offered by Cuba’s Post Office business group, which - only in this eastern province - places 400 thousand for sale, with 25 different views.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- If in 2020 the unexpected irruption of COVID-19 prevented the entity from bringing the traditional homage to the moms to its units; this year, although the health requirements imposed by the pandemic are enforced, the postcards will be in all postal counters and the hands of the postal agents.
Adriana Medina Izaguirre, commercial director of the Post Office in Las Tunas, specified that the cards now have a price of 1.75 pesos, in which the national postage is already included.
The directive affirmed that to guarantee their delivery to the recipients on May 9, the postcards must be sent no later than May 7. Considering the epidemiological situation in the country, which has limited mobility in several territories due to the scourge of the new coronavirus, Medina Izaguirre suggested that clients do so even much earlier. Preferably, 15 days in advance, especially if they are for people who live in other provinces, she said.
In 2021, Cuba’s Post Office will also make available the option of ordering the postal gifts through the SuperFácil virtual shopping center, she added.
The launch here of this sales campaign took place at the provincial headquarters of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC). It is a way of paying tribute to the working mothers who have worked so hard throughout this year to fight the pandemic, Douglas Leyva López, general director of Las Tunas Post Office, said.
