A26th anniversary of the Radiocuba Company

Las Tunas Division of the Radiocuba Company celebrated the 26th anniversary of the entity in a full effort to maintain the transmission service of radio and television signals.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- “Our work is really very complex since it is to secure those signals 24 hours a day throughout the territory of Las Tunas. A task that, of course, we have fulfilled during these 26 years with effort, great patriotism, and the desire to give the best of technicians, workers, and engineers of our collective, ” Luis Tomás Castillo Lora, head of Radiocuba, said regarding this date.

After a stage of dealing with evident technological obsolescence; in recent years, the country has invested in the modernization of the equipment that supports a key infrastructure for citizens, with the added objective of moving towards the digital age.

About Radiocuba, commented the manager, "today we can say that all municipalities have the technology ready to carry out the migration process to digital television. We have, he specified, standard and high definition transmitters in various municipalities and also a very important advantage, which is the fiber optic link in most of our transmission centers."

Castillo Lora also meant that these advances have been made possible by the contribution of the Division's movement of innovators.

“In the last 10 to 15 forums, we have promoted this inventiveness to keep transmitters and their associated equipment upright,” he stressed. “Ours has been, he concluded, a titanic task in the conditions of the blockade and the COVID-19 pandemic, and the subsequent lack of many resources; but with the ability and desire of our collective, we have succeeded.”
