Manager Pablo Alberto Civil, for four consecutive years occupying the podium of the National Baseball Series with Leñadores de Las Tunas (Las Tunas Lumberjacks), will lead the Cuba Team to the third edition of the Caribbean Baseball Cup, which will begin on May 8, in Curaçao.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The outstanding manager, who has just finished third in the 60 Series, will be accompanied in the management team by two other coaches from Las Tunas: assistant Jorge Hierrezuelo and pitching coach Rodolfo Correa.

The squad announced yesterday in Havana includes several of the best prospects in Cuban baseball, as well as other experienced players with good performance in the last National Series.

Guillermo García, from Granma, MVP of the final between Crocodiles and Sorrels, as well as Santiago Torres, from Santiago, one of the candidates who strongly aspired to the MVP of the regular season.

In the pitching staff, youngsters like Marlon Vega, current Rookie of the Year, from Matanzas; and Frank Abel Álvarez, from Pinar del Río, alternate with other more experienced pitchers, such as Yánder Guevara, César García and Yadián Martínez.
