Beijing pledged to help revitalize the economy and strengthen trilateral cooperation between China, Mongolia and Russia.

Xi Jinping, the Chinese President, met today with several world leaders attending the recently concluded Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Beijing.- During these meetings, they discussed bilateral and regional cooperation issues and items of global importance.

In his dialogue with Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, President of Mongolia, Xi stressed the importance of Mongolia as a natural partner in the cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative.

He urged playing a more active role in high-quality cooperation within the megaproject by taking advantage of its geographical location to connect Europe and Asia.

Separately, in his meeting with Turkmenistan People’s Council Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Xi expressed willingness to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides.

The leaders discussed the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and Turkmenistan’s development strategy to revive the Great Silk and Road Initiative and also agreed to expand economic and technological cooperation. (PL)
