The West uses the dollar as an already active or potential weapon to solve political tasks, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergei Lavrov.

Moscow.- The head of Russian diplomacy spoke during the morning session of the first meeting of Sherpas and sous-sherpas of the BRICS group held in Moscow this Wednesday.

Lavrov stressed that the dollar and subsidies through international financial institutions are actively used “as instruments of coercion.”

“Unilateral sanctions undermine established, convenient, efficient supply chains, undermine their development prospects, mainly in the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America,” he noted.

“And instead of broad humanitarian cooperation, the so-called cancel culture is being planted,” Lavrov added. (PL)
