Ramírez showed his country's tourist attractions in a meeting with directors of the Japanese Association of Travel Agents (JATA), the Ministry of Foreign Trade reported on Tuesday in this capital.

Havana, Cuba.- JATA president Tadashi Shimura welcomed the diplomat at the institution's headquarters, also attended by the deputy general manager of the America Division of the Japan Council for the Promotion of Foreign Tourism, Komoda Soji, and the official of the Office of Promotion of the Japanese Tourism Fair, Fukushima Kazuhiko. Ramírez explained the health protocols that Cuba applies in its hotel, non-hotel and airport facilities in the context of fighting COVID-19, in order to provide visitors with safe tourism.

He also commented on the different types of tourism that Cuba offers, including sun and beach, nature, city, and health, on which interested parties can acquire information through the website www.cubatravel.cu. The ambassador highlighted the presence of Cuban culture in Tokyo, a city with several places where the country's rhythms are taught and danced, and restaurants specializing in Cuba's cuisine.

Likewise, he highlighted the photography exhibitions on Cuba recently made by Japanese artists, showing the interest aroused by the country, its culture and history. (PL)
