Adela's working days are intense but she does not separate her thoughts of love for her beloved ones.

A native of the southern municipality of Amancio, a graduate of Civil Engineering at the University of Camagüey and with a master's degree in Management Techniques, Adela Álvarez Fernández finds in the family and the responsibility of her work her main passions, those that constitute her driving force and sources of inspiration to fulfill dreams in life.

"Jesús Menéndez", Las Tunas.- Of small stature, but of immense greatness for her human values, this woman assumed the Integral Direction of Projects of "Amancio" and for a decade she was vice-president of the Council of Administration of that territory; for now, she assumes the commendable task of ensuring quality in the execution of works in La Herradura 1 and 2 wind farms, in the municipality of “Jesús Menéndez,” which qualifies as the largest work of its kind in the country.

On-site we find her with precise guidelines when it comes to casting a base, ensuring the control and quality of each task, sharing with her group - of which it is an inseparable part - or reporting on the progress of each step, all of this with the commitment to fulfill the schedules.

Adela's working days are intense but she does not separate her thoughts of love for her beloved ones. Her grandchildren are her main joy, to whom she dedicates almost entirely the few hours at home; but where she always finds a space to listen to the music of the so-called prodigious decade, cook, wash, watch the odd novel, and thus make the most of these moments at home.

Much remains to be done in the important mission that Adela has today, but she trusts her collective, she learns and improves herself every day; she faces new challenges with the security of overcoming them, and for this, she has the best rearguard in love and understanding of the family. Thus she waits the long-awaited day of installing the first wind turbine, as proof that her efforts have not been in vain. Then she will have the satisfaction of the accomplished duty.
