The Aguada de Vázquez campsite came into operation as an isolation center for travelers

In order to reduce the contagion of the coronavirus in the northern municipality of Puerto Padre, measures are already being implemented that include the conditioning of new premises to become isolation centers.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- According to a note from the Provincial Directorate of Public Health in Las Tunas, the Aguada de Vázquez campsite came into operation in this territory as an isolation center for travelers, which will contribute to further control the spread of the virus.

Taking into account the existing epidemiological situation in the country and worldwide, it was necessary to implement the provision that as of February 6, all Cuban residents upon arrival in Cuba will carry out isolation in facilities enabled to comply with the conceived protocols.

The health sector, municipal authorities and all competent spheres "spare no effort to get out of such a complex situation," explains the note, and work with priority on the efficient application of biosecurity practices, in order to minimize the risks of contagion among the workers performing the task.

The authorities insist once again on citizen responsibility as a key vaccine against the pandemic and urge the population to comply with the measures envisaged during this stage of a new normal, so as not to regress to the most severe scenario from an epidemiological point of view.
