With nine active cases out of a total 10 detected throughout the month, August went down in history as the second most tense in the fight against the new coronavirus in this eastern Cuban province. Only April, when the pandemic reached its peak here, showed slightly higher numbers. 

The use of the facemask is mandatory in Puerto Padre

The Defense Council in Puerto Padre, at the proposal of health authorities, has ordered the mandatory use of the facemask in all public spaces, in an act of prevention due to the confirmation of new cases in the provincial capital. 

Disinfection in the area of the Buena Vista Tank

The province of Las Tunas continues health actions for prevention and control of the new coronavirus. The fumigation and disinfection of spaces with an influx of public are among them, such as the Plaza del Buena Vista Tank and its surroundings.
