Teatro Tuyo won the Aquelarre Grand Prize and the award for Best Theatrical Show

To talk about the quality of Clowncierto, the most recent premiere of Teatro Tuyo, would be redundant. Suffice it to quote the words of the theatrologist Nelson Acevedo (who was an advisor to the company in its beginnings) when he said: "With this work, the collective demonstrates the maturity achieved in the awareness of building to seduce."

Las Tunas, Cuba.- And this is certainly so, not only from the theatrical conception but also for the selection of music, its multiple readings, the use of symbols and effects, the acting versatility, and other garnishes, which make it not surprising at all that the piece has won the Aquelarre Grand Prize and the award for Best Theatrical Show in the concluded National Festival of Humor.

Ernesto Parra, leader of "Los Tuyos", commented on his Facebook page: "We are back in Las Tunas. We are happy... Clowncierto is a show that has in its structure the possibility of being performed in any kind of space, a show to which scarce resources should be allocated so that those who are less favored, because they do not live in the main municipalities, can enjoy what we do... We have everything ready to go..., hopefully, these results will serve to join efforts and make a provincial tour".

With invitations to perform this summer in different provinces, both in the east and west of the country, Papote insists on the need to also share with audiences farther away from the city environment and, to illustrate, he mentions the case of "Amancio", a territory where they have only gone five times in the 24 years of the theatrical brotherhood.

According to what he stated in the social network, they submitted a project to tour all the municipalities of our province, but they have not yet received a response from the relevant authorities. These are not times to waste opportunities, especially when creators are available. And, beyond healthy recreation, it is about feeding the soul and the intellect of society, something very serious.
