After 15 days of constant work, the pumping equipment at the Piedra Hueca station, which had kept some 50,000 inhabitants of Las Tunas without water service through the hydraulic network, has resumed its operation.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The Aqueduct and Sewerage Provincial Company announced this through its official Facebook profile in a note that also highlights the priority given to solving the problem.

The company said that Piedra Hueca wells 101, 87, and 172 supply this city, and that works to stabilize the pumping will continue in the coming days.

In dialogue with the sector's directors, it also emerged that they are working on the installation of another pump equipment at the station, intending to strengthen the supply in the coming days.

However, they insisted on the state of deterioration of the pumping equipment in the province and stressed the need to save water and maintain in good condition the water reservoirs in each house.
