A multifamily building was inaugurated in the vicinity of the University of Medical Sciences, in this city, that will benefit 10 families of Las Tunas fighters with an excellent record in compliance with their duty.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Lesvia Leyva González, director of the Construction Company of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), assured 26 that carrying out this work, in the midst of an economic situation marked by the scarcity of resources and the lack of imported supplies, required more effort than usual; but due to the perseverance of the builders, it was achieved in record time and with the colorful finish that characterizes their properties.

“We were ahead of the schedule because we know how important it is for every human being to have a home. Our builders worked with this incentive - the directive pointed out. The Construction and Assembly Company, CONALZA, contributed its grain of sand and, finally, in five months we put the keys in the hands of their owners.

“Despite the urgency, we can guarantee the quality of each apartment and rigorously worked to check this parameter on site. Although we did not use the materials in optimal condition, such as some floors and panels, strategies were devised so that this did not conspire against the final result. We ensure that our expectations have been met.”

Jorge Rodríguez, head of Infrastructure and Housing, pointed out that due to the lack of cement, they had to make arrangements to acquire this product in other provinces and not delay schedules. He also added that they used more than one million 370 thousand pesos in the execution of this building, which is added to others of its type and obeys the will to collaborate with the housing fund in the province.
