The Biological and Pharmaceutical Laboratories (LABIOFAM) business group in the province of Las Tunas has produced more than 20 thousand liters of sodium hypochlorite and about 10 thousand chlorine bleach, with proven effectiveness in sanitizing surfaces.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Yusimí Tamayo Ronda, director of Production and Business of the entity, reported that around 200 thousand bottles of disinfectant lotion for hands have also been produced, which constitutes an important contribution to the confrontation with the COVID-19.

“These products are in high demand in the population of the eight municipalities of Las Tunas, especially these days when they report a high number of infections; for this reason, from the company, we continue looking for solutions.

“We know that the demand is greater than what we produce because our points of sale ask for a lot of hand lotion. We are working so that people have these hygienic assortments in their homes and workplaces.”

LABIOFAM also offers alternatives to customers who request disinfectant lotion and sodium hypochlorite in large volumes.

“We are selling mostly by offers; based on the requests we are made. The companies can hire the service and bring the containers and we make the production for them in the unit we have in the community of Río Potrero.
"This procedure has already been done with many entities, but we urge the others to attend it."
