DPRK Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed Pyongyang’s categorical condemnation of Japan’s new doctrine

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday warned about the danger for the peninsula and the East Asian region posed by the new Japanese doctrine (backed by the United States) of preventive attack against other countries.

Pyongyang.- In a statement published by the state-run ACNC news agency, the DPRK Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed Pyongyang’s categorical condemnation of Japan’s new moves.

DPRK and other Asian nations are too concerned about Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s intentions to turn his country into an offensive military power with his new so-called security strategy, national defense, and force management plan.

According to the statement, Japan’s goal has nothing to do with a sovereign State´s legitimate right to self-defense.

The DPRK described the Japanese strategy as a new line of attacks that radically changes the security environment in East Asia and poses the danger of a serious crisis on the peninsula and in the region.

Tokyo’s rearmament is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and a serious challenge to international peace and security. (PL)
