In the province of Las Tunas, the 82 houses affected by the rains just a few days ago have already been identified for their gradual solution taking into account the magnitude of the damage; 32 of them have their roofs partially destroyed, 14 were left without the shelter, and there are 26 partial collapses and four total.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Damages to the infrastructure of the Telecommunications Company of Cuba S.A. (ETECSA) and the Electric Company have been repaired; work is also being done on the solution of the pumping turbine that supplies water to part of the capital city from Piedra Hueca, as well as on the arrangement of 375 kilometers of roads and seven bridges, three of them belonging to the railways and four of embankments.

Likewise, the recovery of 17 latrines that collapsed during the rains is underway, and three zinc plates were restored in a Grandparents' House.

Among the losses caused by the intense downpours, which occurred between the 6th and 8th of the current month, there are also mattresses, refrigerators, televisions, fans, kitchen and hygiene kits, food modules, water tanks, sets of sheets and bedspreads, among others, which will be replaced as far as possible.

The meteorological event left more than 192 millimeters of rain, with the highest accumulated in Amancio, Colombia, and Jobabo municipalities.

The province's reservoirs received more than 118 million cubic meters of water, and at the end of the rains, eight were pouring, and two are at one hundred percent of their total capacity.

In agriculture, 1,175 hectares are damaged, with 302 tons of affected foods such as plantains, cassava, sweet potatoes, corn, beans, and vegetables.
