Camila participates in  Girls Americas Can Code

Thanks to the auspices of the Youth Computing and Electronic Club, young people from this eastern Cuban province take part in the international meeting Americas Girls Can Code that is organized by the International Telecommunications Union and the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications, and promotes the knowledge of the universe of the programming and its opportunities.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The Americas Girls Can Code will be held in virtual mode until this September 4 and from the Youth Club facilities, girls over 14 years old have already had an approach to topics such as effective leadership, successful mentality, Arduino workshop and scratch workshop.

"It has been a good opportunity to exchange with girls from other countries on these issues," said Camila Gonzáles Laurencio, a 15 years old and a student at the Francisco Muñoz Rubalcaba urban pre-university institute in the city of Las Tunas.

From the rooms of the Tunas 2 Youth Cub, she participated in the workshops that are being taught in two sessions, one from 9:00 am to noon, and another from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon, through the page https://www.agcclatam.org/

On its last day at the Americas Girls Can Code, the event will teach courses on downloading, improving and creating new video games, content creation for social media, robotics fundamentals, podcasts, bots development, and effective presentation design.
